Prior to being sworn in as Secretary of State, he concluded a career of more than 41 years in the petroleum industry, retiring as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ExxonMobil Corporation at the end of 2016. Tillerson spent the entirety of his career with the corporation going to work for Exxon after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He rose through the ranks and following a number of domestic and foreign assignments, including, President of Exxon Yemen, Inc. and, ExxonNeftegas, Ltd. in Russia, became President of the corporation in 2004 and Chairman and CEO in 2006. In addition to his duties for ExxonMobil, Tillerson has had a longstanding involvement with the Boy Scouts of America, earning its highest rank of Eagle Scout as a youth and as an adult receiving the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award. He also received the Silver Beaver and Silver Buffalo Awards for his service as an adult volunteer. He is a former member of the Boy Scouts of America's Executive committee and served as the national President of the Boy Scouts from 2010 to 2012. Tillerson is a former member of the American Petroleum Institute and the National Petroleum Council serving as Chairman of both. He was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2013 and holds an honorary Doctorate of Engineering form Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He was named a Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin in 2007. He formerly served as a trustee of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He was also a member of the Business Roundtable, serving on its Executive Committee, and a member of the Business Council. He served as an honorary trustee of the Business Council for International Understanding and a member of the Emergency Committee for American Trade.He is former Director of the United Negro College Fund and a former Vice-Chairman of the Ford's Theatre Society. Tillerson has received numerous recognition and awards from domestic and international organizations and governments.

Today, the Energy Transfer family of partnerships, which includes Energy Transfer, Sunoco LP, and USA Compression Partners, LP, is one of the country’s largest and most diversified portfolio of publically traded energy partnerships. Energy Transfer has assets in 38 states to facilitate the gathering, treating, processing and transporting of natural gas, natural gas liquids, refined products and crude oil through 83,000 miles of pipeline; more than 95 million barrels of NGL, crude oil and petrochemical storage; 75 processing and treating facilities; four fractionators; and three import/export facilities. Warren has been recognized by numerous energy and business organizations for his contributions to the energy industry. He is honored to be a member of the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans. Warren has also been inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame, is a recipient of the Hanlon Award presented by the Gas Processors Association, and this year was inducted into the Ammys Hall of Fame. Among the organizations he supports is the March of Dimes and the Bush Foundation. LOOP is the only facility of its kind in world where shippers can offload crude oil from Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC’s), load VLCC’s, purchase, sell, exchange, store, blend or deliver crude oil. Today, LOOP handles far more domestically produced crude oil than international varieties. In February 2018, LOOP became the first U.S. facility capable of fully loading a VLCC for crude export. In addition to its facilities, LOOP provides shore services for deepwater Gulf of Mexico production and operates pipelines. Before joining API, Dr. Foreman was the lead economist for ExxonMobil Corporate Planning between 2002 and 2008. From 2009 to 2013, he was a member of the executive team at Canadian-based exploration and production company Talisman Energy, where he focused on corporate planning, hedging/marketing, and business development. In 2013 to 2015, he directed the risk management function in North America for South African energy and petrochemical conglomerate Sasol, where he helped drive business cases for $25 billion in U.S. mega projects, including the $11 billion ethane cracker and derivatives complex in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Most recently, he was with Saudi Aramco Strategy & Market Analysis in Dhahran, where he managed short-term market monitoring and the long-term oil demand outlook.

Matthew Fitzsimmons is Vice President, Oilfield Service Research at Rystad Energy and is heading up their Cost Service and Service Analytics products. Prior to joining Rystad Energy, Matthew worked on Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) projects for Golar LNG based out of Oslo, Norway. In addition, he spent nearly eight years at ExxonMobil evaluating and managing projects around the world. He performed cost analysis on mega projects from Houston, Texas, helped to successfully deliver mega projects in Western Canada, and managed a portfolio of large projects in Eastern Russia. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Global Markets from BI Norwegian Business School and a Bachelor’s of Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology (USA).
