Alice has been a manager in the steel business since 2008. She has a degree in economics from the University of Genoa and a master’s in financial markets. Alice started her career during her university years, working at a small steel trading company dealing with finished products such as pipes, beams, sheets and gratings. After four years she joined Voestalpine High Performance Metal Division, where she developed Italian sales for the Buderus Edelstahl mill, focusing on special steel forged blocks. She has also acted as sales and division manager for stainless steel and nickel welding wires at Rodacciai SpA. Alice recently began a new challenge as Head of the Trading Unit for carbon steel coils in the Italian market at one of the world’s biggest metal trading groups, DITH Duferco International Trading Company. Her technical skills and determination have led her to achieve leadership positions that historically were male dominated. Alice’s passion for women’s rights led her to participate in BPW (Business Professional Women, a non-profit association), championing the motto Women for Women and becoming young representative for her district and a mentor for young people that want to push their business careers. She directs the international project Steel Women: Gender Equality In Leadership, which supports UN sustainable development goals.

After gaining a BA (Hons) Degree in European Business Administration, as well as a Diplôme d’Études Supérieures Européennes de Management, Mark spent three years as a sugar trader with Louis Dreyfus, a leading global soft commodities company. The next 20 years were spent at Roskill Information Services, a leader in international metals and minerals research. In January 2001, Mark was appointed a director at Roskill and in December 2010 became the Managing Director of the company. Prior to joining Argus, he ran his own metals consulting company, Tungsten Market Research.

John is also responsible for chrome and molybdenum sales from the firm’s operations in South Africa and Chile, respectively. Prior to this, John spent five years as head of strategy at Anglo’s marketing business unit, where he was key in developing and implementing Anglo’s revised approach to commercial and marketing strategy. He was also commercial manager at Anglo’s Australian coal business for two years. John’s first role with Anglo saw him leading a business improvement project in the industrial minerals segment. From 2013 to 2017, Dan was Senior Vice-President, Global Sales and Marketing for NEC-TOKIN, a joint venture between Kemet and Japan’s NEC-TOKIN, and based in Tokyo. He currently leads Kemet’s mergers and acquisition efforts and is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dan received his BSc in chemistry from Boston College and his PhD in chemistry from the University of Texas.
