Kevin has worked on improving nutrient use efficiency for all of his career spanning over 40 years in the international fertilizer industry, firstly with Phosyn plc, then Yara. Following retirement in 2012 he formed his own consultancy, Kemnovation Ltd, focusing upon the benefits of best fertilizer management practices to achieve food and nutrition security globally while reducing environmental impact. Kevin has authored many papers and strategic reports on ‘Value-Added’Fertilizers of every type and was appointed Honorary CTO of Kingenta Group of China in early 2014 to support their R&D, Production and Market development programmes internationally. He has also been closely associated with the International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA) for many years.

Manfred Seitz started his professional career in traffic & transport engineering and then moved to the Austrian Ministry for Science & Transport being in charge for the development and implementation of transport technology programmes. In 1999, he led the foundation of via donau, a subsidiary of the ministry serving as innovation centre for Danube transportation and transport telematics. In 2005, via donau became the Austrian national waterway organisation by merging infrastructure operation and all development activities. As managing director, Manfred Seitz was responsible for all matters of navigation & technology until the end of 2009. He initiated more than thirty projects in various EU programs and was a driving force for many national and European policy initiatives. Since September 2011 he acts as General Secretary of Pro Danube International which is a network of private businesses promoting a more competitive Danube logistics system. Since August 2012 he also leads Pro Danube Management GmbH which is the service and project management unit of the association. In 2013, he developed the concept for the “Masterplan for LNG as a fuel and as cargo for the Rhine-Main-Danube axis” which brings together 33 partners from 12 European countries. The project was selected by the EC for funding from the EC TEN T program. In addition to the LNG Masterplan project he and his team supported Shell Downstream LNG and Bomin Linde LNG in the design of LNG deployment projects for EU grant applications. Manfred Seitz is also a member of the UNECE working group on barriers for LNG as transport fuel.
