Mr Kyari was appointed Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) by President Muhammadu Buhari on 8 July 2019. Prior to this, he was made Group General Manager in charge of Crude Oil Marketing Division at NNPC in 2015. His responsibilities include determination and recommendation of appropriate pricing for Nigerian crude grades, condensates and NGLs, and securing federation entitlements of crude oil, condensates and NGLs from production arrangements in the country to generate maximum revenue for the Nigerian government. He started his career in 1988 at the Nigerian Geological Survey as a field Geologist and then joined NNPC in 1991, where he was posted to the Integrated Data Services as a Geophysicist. Mele is also Nigeria’s National Representative to OPEC. He received his first degree in Geology from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria in 1987.

Chris Judge is Vice-President for Products at the Argus head office in London. He is responsible for the development of market-appropriate price assessments, methodologies and editorial training and development. Chris was previously editor of the daily European Products report, which publishes price assessments used in physical and derivative indexation for the European gasoline markets, among others. Chris graduated in English literature at the University of Kent. Before joining Argus, Chris worked for other media organisations, including energy price reporting service Platts, where he headed up the European products team in London, before moving to New York to manage the coverage of US markets.

A graduate in Political Science and European Law, Rob for 14 years represented European ethanol producers, providing political and strategic insight to the membership of the various associations he led. He was first of all Principal Advisor to AFTA (Association for Fair Trade in Alcohol) then the Secretary-General of eBIO (European Bioethanol Fuel Association) and was appointed the first Secretary-General of ePURE (European Renewable Ethanol Association) in 2010. He stepped aside from this position in September 2014. Rob began his professional career as an Academic Researcher followed by eight years’ working experience in the European parliament. He then moved on to the business environment and became Public Affairs Consultant at Deloitte and Touche. Before Rob started working for the ethanol sector, he was Managing Director of the consulting firm European Affairs Management (EAM), which he founded, now called Team. Since the end of 2014, Rob has been providing consultancy services to a number of companies, inside and outside Europe, operating in the renewable energy sector. Rob is a European Commission expert in the framework of Horizon 2020, publishes on a regular basis in the World Ethanol and Biofuels Report and is a regular speaker at the Lallemand Ethanol Technology Institute training courses. Furthermore, he is Vice-Chair of the Dutch Platform on Sustainable Biofuels, member of the Executive Board of LSB (Leaders of Sustainable Biofuels) and one of the Leaders of the Alternative Renewable Transportation Fuels Forum.

John Spencer is an Independent Consultant with a wealth of experience working as a Products Trader in the oil industry for nearly 30 years.
